Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from the mixed race family of South London in England. Madekwe is English but her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised in an estate in south London community estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She was a part of various performances on stage during her college days, such as the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career through the film Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer came from the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl featured her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was the main character in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Her credits in the theatre include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with The thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes before being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series was cast as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe's departure from the series was announced in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season 3. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred as Tituba the television series Salem. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's four brothers, all very physically active, were all playing hockey during the winters and baseball in the summer, so they grew up mostly in parks and arenas. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at age just two years old, she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley discovered a love for dancing when she began Baby Ballet. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. Ashley took home the best soloist award at every major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, to name just a few.
